Sometime I really dont see the need in celebrating my birthday because I dont think there is anything worth celebrating since I’m turning a year older once again.
But thinking back, it would be kind of sad to spend my birthday alone at home. Okay, I’m self contradicting again. oops XD Hahahaha. Fortunately, I dont have to spend my birthday alone this year. So this is how i celebrated my birthday this year.
On the day before my birthday, Kenny brought me to Koh Grill & Sushi Bar, a restaurant inside Wisma Atria foodcourt.

Left: Kenny’s Yakitori Set that comes with fried rice and a bowl of miso soup.
Right: There is a “god-liked” yummy sushi, Shiok Maki, which he had been telling me weeks before he brought me there. LOL. I think this maki is made up of unagi (or eel) and avocado at the core, rice and seaweed in the middle (of course) and torch-burned salmon topped with cheese and mayonnaise.

This was my dinner. The sushi set consisting of a plate of sushi with 4 to 5 slices of salmon sashimi, a small bowl of udon and a bowl of miso soup.
This meal cost approximately $50++ (after tax) i think.
After dinner, we headed to Max Pavilion at Expo for my long awaited Rainie Yang (杨承琳) concert. hehehe ♥_♥ Till now i still couldnt believe that I actually saw my idol in person!!!! THANK YOU KENNY!

On my birthday, sis made reservation in Swa Tow Seafood restaurant for high tea dim sum buffet. We always wanted to try it because we heard/saw a lot of positive reviews of this dim sum buffet. The high tea time is 3pm to 5pm. Should be around SGD20+ per pax.
I must say, the food was quite disappointing. Firstly, although they have a wide variety of prawn-made dim sum, i strongly believe that their prawn aren’t fresh. Why? Because knowing that we were having dim sum, which mean there would be lots of prawn stuff, I ate allergy medication before going. Unfortunately despite the medication, I still felt extremely uncomfortable after eating them. Secondly, their char siew dim sum were awful, be it their char siew bun (叉烧包), char siew rice roll (叉烧猪肠粉) or char siew sou (叉烧酥). The only plus point is their uber delicious salted egg yolk custard bun (流沙包).

Right: Salted egg yolk custard bun with pandan-flavoured skin. It was soooo yummy that the manager assured us that if any of us thinks that it was not good, he would swallow the entire container that was used to contain the bun (点心笼) . LOL
OMG I SOOOO WANNA EAT IT NOW!
On 17 Jan, I met up with Kelly and ZQ for dinner. That was the night I had one of the most extravagant dinner in 2013 because three of us had 3 crabs and some other food for dinner. Okay, maybe I over-exaggerated it. :X I ate about 1.5 crab all by myself and i was so bloated that i could hardly stuff any more food down after that. Oh did i mention that this meal cost Kelly SGD 120? Ultimate madness, i wouldnt spend so much money on food becuase im just a poor student. hehe

Left: My 1.5 salted egg crab
Right: Topshop navy blue synthetic snake skin bag from Kelly. Super like -thumbs up-
After dinner, we went to the nearby pub to drink our hearts out. Thanks ZQ for the Martel VSOP and sorry to make you drink so much. hehe
On 18 Jan, my girls and I went to Switch. Basically, we just eat, chill and listen to the live band…

These are from my girls…
